100 Days on the Road

Today we completed our 100th day since leaving Melbourne on 5 July. We have taken some time to reflect on those 100 days (2400 hours, 144000 minutes).

Special thanks to our readers, google NACCB and our blog is in the third page or google NACCB ADVENTURE and we are number one.

Highlights
Riding on elephants in Bali and getting up really early and walking to the top of a hill in the dark to see the sun rise at Lawn Hill. (Chantelle).

The Bali highlight was seeing the elephants and being able to be so close to them.  The Australian highlight so far was the 14km walk through Carnarvon Gorge and the amazing scenery Wards Canyon and the Moss garden. (Angela).

Spending time with Aunty Jennie and Uncle David in Darwin because they are so much fun and I don't get to see them often. (Chelsea).

Going to Bali, and seeing Aunty Jennie, Uncle David, Nanny and Poppy in Darwin (Bianca).

Driving up to Cape York and swimming at falls along the way, oh and the sun all the sunny days (Nicholas).

Lowlights
The QLD parks booking system that didn't work on iPhone or iPad, required a laptop with an out dated version if Internet Explorer, oh yeah and Internet connection that is rarely available in a national park. This system causes travelers more headaches and problems than all the road works in QLD. (Nicholas)

Camping at the Pebbles, near Tennant Creek, when the ferall cats came out and scared me (Chantelle).

The grotty, smelly pit toilets and sharing bathrooms in general (Angela).

The really hot days, I don't like the hot days (Bianca).

Missing friends and packing up and setting up (Chelsea).

The girls have become expert in setting up and packing up the camper. If we arrive somewhere late, in an hour we can have the camper fully setup, kids room on, awning up, beds setup and made, clothes bags out and dinner made.
